Getting in the Sprit.

It is that time of year again. Time for lefse making, cookie decorating, and eating large amounts of food. But in the small business world it means making money. We have to start early on the holiday grind. At Hello the House I have started to revamp my space into a funky winter wonderland. I want to stand out and be the space to come to for fun and unconventional décor. I have hand dyed over 70 bottle brush trees and made adorable vintage cars into "traveling" snow globes.

I just love how these little winter scenes turned out and I am bound to make more. Looking forward to the weekend as the start of the official shopping season and big traffic at the store. I am anxious to see how sales are and what everyone is finding at the shop. It isn't the reason for the season but in the cycle of the dollar my art and crafts being sold help me and my family pay the bills and enjoy our holiday as well. Cheers to all.

A little bit of this and some of that...

Party planning, canoe trips, fall cowl marking, and then that thing and the other. Still keeping up on the project a day challenge. 25/25. Today? I haven't done a thing.

What I did and saw and found this weekend

I found some amaze balls (my new saying along with Totes Adorb) produce, flowers and soap at the farmers market in town here in Hudson, NOT in the cities!
I made some art. Our family photo wall. Not your typical group family shot in matching outfits... just not my style and a lot cheaper.
These are my finds from the Target shops the other day. I really wanted more but felt guilty in the first place spending $50 on a lamp or $20 on glasses and dishes. I am hoping to save my pennies and get more. But for now these tea towels, that more then likely will not be used to wipe up spills but will get repurposed, and this super sweet cookie jar with a deer on it will have to do. I also got a set of roadtrip inspired dishes that will get hung up next to my cutting board in the shape of America. USA!
and to top it all off on a Sunday no less I find a $20 vintage credenza at a sale. Wheee. So much more room in the cupboards now that I have put all the baking bowls and pans in here along with the coffee maker and dish towels.
